Rev. Dr. Timothy Dissmeyer:

Tim is a retired clergy, now free lance pastor available for special services, spiritual counseling and adjunct faculty teaching world religions. Dr. Dissmeyer lives in Frederick County and is available at home at and 301-829-1541 and on his cell phone at 410-967-0219.

Personal history:

Tim was born and raised and educated in Illinois, achieved a B.A. in humanities in 1969 from the University of Illinois and his M.Div. from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1972. He served nine years on the full-time staff of the Ecumenical Institute and Institute of Cultural Affairs with assignments in Phoenix, Chicago, Philippines, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Germany, Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington. D.C. and received his D.Min. from Wesley Theological Seminary in 1991. He has served as parish pastor in the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in 8 rural, suburban and urban churches from 1978 until 2006. He worked as a part-time Hospice Chaplain in the Baltimore area with Heartland Corporation in 2008 and 2009.

He currently celebrates weddings, substitute preaches in local churches, provides counseling and is part-time faculty at Frederick Community College and Anne Arundel Community College teaching courses in World Religions, Contemporary Spirituality and New Religious Movements
